The easiest thing would be the demographics of who gets AIDS. The cdc.gov website should be very helpful with this. Break it down by race, sex, age, sexual preference etc.

Here are some things you can search for: Viral Load CD4 count Elissa Western Blot Cryptosporidum PCP Pneumonia Thrush The life cycle of HIV This website is a good place to start: www.thebody.com

How does needle sharing put someone at risk for HIV infection? Don’t you have to have an open cut or wound for HIV transmission to occur? If I have sex with a male and he "pulls out" before he ejaculates, have I put myself at risk for HIV? How does the "AIDS test" work? What is the window period? What is the OraSure® test? Hope this helps!

why do some people still fool around knowing that they are putting themselves at risk? If someone tests HIV + after sharing needles or being promiscuous, why should we (the general public )feel sorry for them seeing as it could've been prevented by abstaining (NO ONE has ever gotten an STD, HPV, or AIDS via respecting themselves and their body and by saying NO) and by not doing drugs. Why are so many people against abstinence only programs b/c it promotes a healthy life style whereas promoting safe sex (condoms for ex) only encourages folks that it's ok to fool around and if you test +, that's ok, the gov't/ general public will support your cause.
