Why is it that homo sexual men contract HIV AIDs so commonly and not so much straight women?
I am just curious. No offense to homo sexuals or anything. I have some homo sexual friends. It's just something I wonder about, you know? If you answer, I will surely appreciate it. Thank you so much. I do not understand it. Women have anal sex too. Why do homo sexual men have higher HIV AID ratings than women?

Actually, this is well-documented. For the HIV virus to take hold, it needs to get into the bloodstream. It is easier for this to happen through anal penetration, as the vagina is specifically designed for sexual intercourse and does not rupture or become raw as easy. A woman CAN get HIV from vaginal sex, but it is more difficult than a man or woman being penetrated anally.

It is because of the fact that anal peneteration causes some cuts and ruptures the anal canal. And blood stream can come to contact of infected secretions and virus can be transmitted. Also even if they use condom, there is a chance that condom is broken unless they use lots of water-based lubs. About the woman, the difference is that HIV rate is much more lower in straight people than homosexual people and that is why anal sex causes less HIV infection in straight people. I hope it is clear

I will agree there is an increase in the rate of infection in gay men, but women are still a higher risk. Anal sex and vaginal sex are equally high for infection. The reason is both body parts are "vaults" that is after penetration they can close up, HIV can live up to 5 days in both cavities. So both are equally as high risks.

They have lots of Anal Sex...the walls of the anus tear easily thus the blood stream is exposed. Stay safe and use a condom !

Right now, homosexual men are at greater risk because more homosexual men have it. It is purely a numbers thing. In some areas, it's the injection drug users who are most at risk, because of the high rate of HIV in that community. If HIV had originally been spread by heterosexuals, it wouldn't have been considered a homosexual disease. In Africa it's an equal opportunity infector.
