You cannot get a disease from someone who doesn't have it.

if they are not infected, you cannot get infected from them. The AIDS virus is passed from one infected person to another person, thus infecting them. If they don't have it, you cannot get it from them.

ABSOLUTELY!!! Like anything else, you can carry the virus/bacteria and never be affected by it, but you can pass it on to someone else who is more likely to have a weaker immune system. Simplictically breaking it down, take flu shots. Certain strains of flu shots are given, but they may not protect you from the prevalent flu that is going around.

The only way to catch HIV is from an infected person. NO infection, NO virus, simple, but there are other STD's out there that you can catch other than HIV when playing around. If on the other hand if the person IS infected, almost any sexual activity posses a risk. Plus remember it can take months for a persons HIV test to show positive, so if they recently had sex with an infected person, contracted HIV, but still tested negative, they could still pass on the virus. Hence why it is better to know a person for a while before sleeping with them. The only safe sex is no sex, and the next best thing is when there is no "pink parts" touching. Your mouth, vagina, penis, or anus are all pink parts. This will also protect you from many other STDs
