Given that the rate of infection is approximately 40% and that governments have begun rolling out ARV treatment programmes in that region which includes South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana and Namibia? A slow down in population growth or an overall decline over the next 30 years?

Well we cant know for sure, but I'm going to say steadily slow down. Not everyone there has aids, and people will still have children.

Nature has always worked on 'survival of the fittest'. And with all the humanitarian work going on, humans are trying to save the 'unfit'. I am sure that is why AIDS has come about. To bring back the balance to nature. Intelligent and cautious people tend to not become victims of AIDS as they are educated and not foolish and value their lives enough. Yes, money does also play a part. But you got all that money by being the 'strongest', therefore you are entitled to survive. Hopefully there wont be a cure and enough of the 'bad apples' will die to leave the earth 'cleaner' and free from the 'unfit'. I know it seems animalistic, but that is what we are, afterall, animals. But even animals have better sense than most humans do.

There will be a generation gap. There will be a lot of childrens and allot of old people but the middle age people would have died of AIDS, so this will leave the a burden on the country because there will be no one to look after the children and old people.
