I believe in some states you can be charged with attempted murder....if you know you have aids
2 :
attempted murder!!!!! not like it matters.. cuz they are gonna die anyways. i think everyone with a std for life should have it tattoed on them in that area, cuz how else would you know?? to protect from sick people who do it and dont care!
3 :
Yes, as a matter of fact this just happened down here in Miami. This South Beach bouncer at a huge hotspot, who was well aware he is HIV positive since he was born with it, deliberately had unprotected sex with God knows how many. He is currently in Jail facing Gross negligent something or other, but if the one person dies it will of course become a greater charge. They plastered his face everywhere in the media asking for people to come forward if they have had relations with him. So far I think they only have 2 potential victims. He's being held and fully prosecuted.
4 :
yes, i remember i once read a news on positivesingles.com that, a HIV + woman just go out to have sex with dozens of man, willing to infect them... why she did this i don't know but she did got sentenced by the court, she would be behind bars for 10 yrs. so.... that's it.
5 :
Different states have different laws regarding this, but in the state of Missouri if you know you are HIV positive, you must notify sex partners before you have sex and medical practioners of your +status. If you do not it is a felony and can be prosecuted.
6 :
yes it is called murder/ manslaughter you can be charged/because you no not to expose others to this deadly virus.be safe.

What would you do if you found out that your significant other had HIV/AIDS

What would you do if you found out that your significant other had HIV/AIDS?
If they didn't know, and put you at risk (or gave it to you), how would you react? Remember, they didn't do it on purpose. This is, hypothetically, someone you're supposed to be in love with.

Ask yourself if you still want to be with the person and risk it... If it was mine, i think i would risk it, but be careful not to contract it.
2 :
get that movie rent
3 :
I would wonder how they contracted it and then I would get tested myself.
4 :
I would go get tested... And if I had it I would get some counceling and a doc's appt immediately to get put on medications. I would have anger issues, I wouldn't lie.. as how did this person get the disease? Did they cheat on me? That would be a big trust issue.... I don't know... It would be tough to not be resentful, but why be alone if both of you have aids.. that is the big what if. If I didn't have it... I wouldn't stay with that person, because I would not want to risk dying of AIDS.
5 :
Before you are too sympathetic to him, keep in mind that he had unprotected sex with someone other than you. I would be sick with worry if this happened to me. And I would never have anything to do with that person again.
6 :
And is this person also supposed to be "hypothetically" in love with me? Then why would they expose me to the risk. Maybe they didn't know that they had it at the time, but if they were having unprotected sex, then they knew that it might be a possibility...even if it is only a remote one. It is that person's obligation to warn their significant other if there is any risk at all. What does that say about the other person's love for ME?? I don't think that I could ever trust that person again, and it would be hard to forgive them...since they had, in effect, killed me! So it wasn't intentional, they were just careless...alot of good that would do me if I were dying! After all, love is based on trust.
7 :
drown them

What are your views on HIV/AIDS in your city

What are your views on HIV/AIDS in your city?
Ok, so I'm not judgemental, however, if someone in my county or even my city has HIV/AIDS wouldn't you like to know? So many people are out there having unprotected sex it's unreal. What are everyone else's views on this subject? Should there be a public list of person's with the virus?

No I dont think there should be a public list to humiliate people who have acquired the disease. Just have safe sex yourself and don't share needles etc. I would say that nearly all people who know they have HIV /AIDS would not sleep with someone without informing them. It's illegal. I think you need to stop thinking about this.

if you have hiv you start to have rash that are really red and aids you don't really know until you get tested
2 :
Most people who have HIV have no symptoms for several years. The ONLY way to find out if you have HIV is to get an HIV test. Most people who have HIV would test positive within 3 months. In very rare cases, it could take up to 6 months for someone to test positive.
3 :
No. If you feel you were at risk go get a HIV test. It has been long enough that you will have a true result, it has been over 3 months.
4 :
hahaha who cited a source saying that HIV causes a rash? that's moronic. you can't tell. you need to take a test to know, because HIV is the virus, AIDS is the disease. so being HIV positive just means that you have a dormant virus, not that you're displaying any symptoms.

How do i get my boyfriend to do a HIV/AIDS test

How do i get my boyfriend to do a HIV/AIDS test.?
I just started dated him, and he always gets sick and yeah just to make sure i want him to get tested. But he gets butt hurt when i ask him questions like that. He says i dont trust him and shit. So how do i bring up that i want him to get tested without hurting his feeling or making him mad.

just tell him your nervous about having sex if you dont know if he has something and tell him he should not hav to worry about it if he dose not have anything. and you have to ask for hiv and herpes to be added to the std test
2 :
Ask him to get fully screened for STD's including HIV. Any guy that I've ever asked to do that hasn't had a problem doing it, it's for his health just as much as yours. It's a perfectly reasonable request, if he refuses, that says a lot about his lack of character and respect for you. Just tell him that you will not sleep with a guy unless he gets fully screened, and offer to do the same. Getting tested as well helps to make him feel less like you don' trust him, and more like yu just want to do the responsible thing and be safe. Then you two can go to planed parenthood together and get tested, but you should ALWAYS use condoms, even if you both are clean. If he straight up refuses, break up with him. It isn't asking a lot for him to go get tested, if he cares about you he'll do it. Bottom line. Good luck!
3 :
Just suggest that you guys go together to both get one done.
4 :
When diagnosed and treated early, almost all STDs can be treated effectively. Some organisms, such as certain forms of gonococci, have become resistant to the drugs used to treat them and now require higher doses or newer types of antibiotics. If you think that you may have contracted a sexually transmitted disease, you may feel confused about where you can turn to for help.

How do you know if a HIV/AIDS Test is really negative if they say it can lay dormeint for years

How do you know if a HIV/AIDS Test is really negative if they say it can lay dormeint for years?

3-6 months for HIV to show up in a test when that progresses for a few years it becomes reclassified as AIDS. where a condom and know the risks. knowledge is power.
2 :
It doesn't lay dormant in terms of whether it's there or not. It is dormant in terms of symptoms. It only takes 6 months for it to show up in your system.
3 :
If the virus is dormant, it will still be detected by the test. It's a bit confusing, but when people talk about the virus being dormant they basically mean it's chilling out in the patient's body but not making him/her sick (in which case the patient is HIV-positive but does not have AIDS). The virus is not immediately detectable (I believe whoever it was that said 3-6 months after exposure is right), but a patient can have HIV that will be detectable by an HIV test for several years without showing any symptoms. The risk of a false negative on an HIV test is fairly low (I don't remember the exact number), but if you've had an HIV test that came back negative and are still worried about it you can always get tested again in a couple months.
4 :
The test is looking for signs of the virus - either an antibody or the viral material itself. The disease that results from having a positive test for HIV can lie dormant for decades but the test will still remain positive.

What Does the Acronym HPSV stand for as it relates to HIV/AIDS?

To my knowledge (and after a search of medical resources), HPSV is not a known acronym associated with HIV/AIDS. HSV stands for Herpes Simplex Virus, & HPV stands for Human Papilloma Virus, both of which are increased in incidence in HIV/AIDS.
