What is the Population of HIV/AIDS in America?
I was just wondering if there is a link or if anyone knows what the population of HIV/AIDS in America is? Or even more specific by State even.

The CDC has a group who studies HIV/AIDS. Their Web site is http://www.cdc.gov/nchhstp/. You should be able to find good stats there. State profiles are found at http://www.cdc.gov/nchhstp/stateprofiles/usmap.htm. Just click on the state you're interested in. It is quite true that many available stats are older, but that is the nature of stats. With regards to the web site listed in the second reply, where are they getting their stats? And should we not at least question any site that is being sponsored largely by major pharmaceutical companies who stand to gain financially from the sell of drugs?

I find the CDC's statistics to be very dated. I prefer to use the statistics from www.thebody.com - http://www.thebody.com/index/whatis/demo_usgen.html
